NEWS 09 09 07 Really should keep this page updated more. A lot has happened since Witchfest. Let's see... We have a financial backer. This nameless benefactor has financed our first album and is acting in a managerial capacity, helping us move to the next level. We have a number of coals in the fire and we're planning a music scene coup. There will be more information about this when we have it. Let's just say that it could have people mentioning the name Torn Asunder for a while to come. As mentioned, we have recorded the debut album called "15 Minutes to Tell the World". Track listing (in order)...
23 05 07 WOW... We just got done playing Witchfest... What a show... loud fans, videos, professional photographers, pyros, you name it, we had it... Including MERCHANDISE, which will be available at all gigs, and also HERE... That's right... If you have PayPal., then you can order online and we'll ship it to you... Containing Love to Look At You , Touch the Sky, Hands Behind Your Back and Ended Here from the studio, and Crank it Up, Warhol's Slave, Hands Behind Your Back and Can't Fight, all recorded and mixed live. We have some more gigs booked... check out the gigs page, and we plan on hitting the studio soon for a full album's worth of material... Watch this Space 03 03 07 Well, what a difference 6 weeks can make. We've been really pleased to announce the return of Gaz on lead vocals. He has been missed and, as our last couple of gigs have shown, he's the vocalist that the band needs. We've recorded some live tracks, which can be downloaded from our MP3 page. There's some pics as well. We've got a busy schedule ahead of us for the spring, so check our our dates and come and see us!!!As always, sign our guestbook if you wish, or if you want to contact us personally, send us an email!!! 22 01 07 The last few months have been emotional, chaotic, but fruitful. Torn Asunder has decided to part company with long term lead guitarist, Nolski. There are no hard feeling on our side, and we hope it's recipriocated. The parting of the ways left us a bit screwed, with 10 days to find a new guitarist in time for a headline slot at The Clapham Grand. Our savious came in the form of Joe who has not only slotted in, but exceeded all of our expectations. The sound is changing, but change is good...We are still auditioning singers and welcome anyone, male or female, to audition. The on;y criteria is that you must be GOOD! Let us know if you're interested! As always, if you have any questions for the band, email us! 12 12 06 Following our sad news that we have had to part ways with Gaz, we have been busy both writing new material and auditioning singers. We have a live audition X-Factor style with Steven Pitcher at The Twist on December 15th 2006. We also plan on recording a new album in the new year, with updated versions of all our old material and a shed load of new material as well.As always, if you have any questions for the band, email us! 03 09 06 It's be a while since we updated the site, so there's a fair bit to tell you. Firstly, Steevi, tied the knot and we all wish him and Mel all the best for the future. We've also had a few gigs, writen some new material... including the hugely popular "Warhol's Slave". We are currently taking a break from gigging to concentrate on writing new stuff. But that's not to say that there's nothing from us for the rest of 2006. We'll be back down The Twist on December 15th for the Torn Asunder Christmas Bash with a couple of fantastic bands and DJ after the bands are done. It promises to be LIVE AND LOUD! Also, watch this space for our forthcoming live DVD "A Grand Night Out". The entire gig is also being added to our EP, giving people the best of both worlds, Torn Asunder Live and in the Studio.Probably the biggest thing happening with us at the moment is our participation in the Rock Star Lottery where we are currently 7th out of hundreds of bands with the chance of a cool £1.5M for recording and touring... If you want to see Torn Asunder win this, then you need to vote. Voting is REALLY easy... Text "RSL 589" to 60999 in UK Text "RSL 589" to 36968 in SA Text "ELIJE RSL 589" to 7603 in Spain Text "GO RSL 589" to 55000 in USA Don't make us beg, 'cause it ain't pretty! Just vote for us. We do have some pretty big gigs in the New Year.... We're back at The Grand in January as well playing Witchfest England in May. And there'll be plenty of gigs between them. 2007 promises to be our year... We promise you that by this time next year, most of the rock world will have heard of us... ROCK THE FUCK ON! 20 05 06 Last
night saw Nol tie the knot. We all wish Nol and Katie the best of
luck and congratulations as they start down their new path together.
On the music side of things, we recorded our gig at The Twist on
the 12th and have some tracks from that available for downloading, as
well as some new images as well. Check 'em out and give us
feedback. Finally, apologies to anyone who was there for the
Battle of the Bands at O'Neill's on the 16th. Unfortunately, Gaz
injured his back and was unable to sing. Good news is that he's
on the mend and will be as fit as a fiddle for the shows in June. Check
out the Gigs page for details of all of our upcoming shows! 01 05 06 Torn Asunder were reviewed in Sugarbuzz Magazine... For full details, visit their website... 26 04 06 A lot of news to update you all about. T here have been some great developments. Firstly, we have retained the services of David Pluckrose as a business manager. David's a great bloke and has freed us up to concentrate on the most important aspect... THE MUSIC! So welcome to the Asunderes David!!! We've been really busy writing... Those of you who were there at The Twist on Easter Sunday caught our two latest offerings, "Crank it Up" and "Over the Edge". People said to us that we needed more upbeat songs... Well... You asked for it... We had to cancel the show on June 9th at The Fat Surfer due to the venue closing, but that's OK. We've got some important shows coming up over the next few months. Back at The Twist a few times over the summer, plus at O'Neill's in Colchester on May 16th (Tuesday). It's free to get in and the crowd decide the winners... one of those deals where we need everyone who can make it down there... We've also got a GREAT couple of shows at the end of the summer. First is down at the Clapham Grand which is HUGE!!! We're arranging a coach for all of our Essex crew and laying on some booze. Watch this space as we'll let you know costs and how to get tickets really soon! We've also got a show the following weekend at the Mid Suffolk Showground. This'll be an outdoor show. Again, more details when we have them for you. Next, we have a couple of weddings coming up and some special gigs arranged. First of all, Nolski is tying the knot on the 19th May. To celebrate, we're opening for Korilla down at The Twist. Swing on by and wish the man all the best as he enters into the world of married slavery! Then, a few months later, Steevi also joins that race of the downtrodden as he gets hitched on July 15th. We've hired out The Twist for that night and are playing with old and new friends alike. Come join us as we rock out the last freedom for both these two. Finally, we're launching a new page on the site... The fan pic page. Email us any pics you have of yourselves or the band and we're having a page dedicated to just that. Also, SIGN OUR GUESTBOOK! It'll take 2 minutes and let us know what's on your mind. We're also launching a mailing list. Email us your details if you wish to be kept up to date with everything that the Essex Rockers are up to!!! 22 03 06 We are no longer playing on the 11th April at The Twist, due to scheduling problems. However, We will be there Easter Sunday. Also, full length versions of Touch the Sky, Ended Here, Love to Look at You and Hands Behind Your Back are now available to download both on our website and on MySpace. Torn Asunder encourage filesharing... especially if the files are our MP3s. We only ask that you let people know where you got the songs from... Share those files, swap them, give them away... They're copywritten, but we don't care WHO you give them to. Of course, if you give them to anyone in the music industry, we'd be eternally grateful. 11 03 06We're
currently writing some more upbeat, rockier stuff. Following the
apparent success of our latest song "Can't Fight", writing some more in
that vein. Thanks to everyone who came to see us at the CD
release party and then the show in London. Both of which
were fun and as a result, Feedme Music has asked us to play the Clapham
Grand in London. More details to follow.
